With less than three weeks to go to the Giro de Baile Charity Cycle, we hope that you are enjoying your training and that you are getting as excited as us for the day to arrive!

This will cover a few items that are important for planning your trip, for your safety on the day and to ensure your full enjoyment of this great fundraising event.

Manage your booking

Booking online will ensure your quick and easy passage through registration and also guarantee a special pair of Giro cycling shades

Start and Finish
The Start and Finish Line location will again be at the Ballycastle community Hall, .

Sign On
Sign on will be possible from 8am on sunday until 9:30am.

Follow the marshall instructions

Your safety is uppermost in our planning on this day, please cycle showing due care and consideration. Think of other road users including those in cars/buses.  You should always expect local traffic even on the quiet roads. Obey the rules of the road and don’t do anything you wouldn’t do when driving a car.

Giro de Baile designated car parks will be located on the approach to the village and at the local Ballycastle Gaa pitch. We ask cyclists not to park in or around St Bridgets Church

Helmets are compulsory and  no Tri-bars

Bike Tags
Please display your bike tag in the proper manner. This will ensure your swift passage through checkpoints. If your bike tag is not readily visible you will be delayed at the checkpoints

Wearing your wrist band on the day allows you to gain entry to the food stops.

Please endeavour to leave the towns you pass through and the Mayo countryside as you found it.  There will be facilities for rubbish in each town and along the route so please do not litter.

Promotional Footage
We would like to advise that promotional footage will be filmed on the weekend of the event. Please be aware that you have signed up to a public event where there are cameras etc and that photos and images will appear as happens at any sporting event.
